1947-2017, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur

An exhibition of Indian handmade textiles, hailing from the pre-Independence era to the present day. It shined the spotlight on how India has managed to sustain and innovate on processes of hand manufacturing of textiles in the last seven decades. Shanti Sadan tried to understand what was new and what influenced other works in the seventy year span of textiles.
